Gabriel D. Wander is the Founder and President of Wander Staffing, a Texas based, SBA 8(a) Certified and Service Disabled Veteran Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) that provides IT, healthcare and training solutions to the U.S. government and private institutions.

A combat veteran many times over, Mr. Wander served over two decades in the Army as a Combat Medic, Emergency Medical Technician, ambulance squad leader, Medical-Surgical Nurse, Cardiac Intensive Care Nurse, Triage Officer for the national Disaster Assistance Response Team, parachutist, and finally, an Officer and Board Certified Registered Nurse Anesthesiologist (CRNA) in hospitals, clinics, and for over six years with the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC). Throughout his career, he has deployed around the world, supporting the tactical and medical missions of U.S. forces, and held numerous leadership, clinical and administrative positions along the way. As one of the foremost experts in tactical trauma anesthesia, Mr. Wander is highly sought after as a practitioner, consultant and trainer.

He understands the needs of the patient, after having been one himself for over six months while recovering from a traumatic Army parachute injury. He understands the needs of the provider, as he remains an active CRNA, and he understands the needs of the administrative staff throughout health care facilities, as he has worked and led in all echelons of care, both in the public and private sector.

Mr. Wander earned his Bachelor of Science degree from Austin Peay State University, Clarksville TN in 2001, and his Master of Science in Nurse Anesthesia from the University of Texas Health Science Center at Houston, via the U.S. Army Graduate Program in Anesthesia Nursing (USAGPAN), in 2007. He remains an adjunct faculty at USAGPAN, entrusted with training and grooming Resident Nurse Anesthesiologists and new Army officers. He is a graduate of the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans (EBV) with the Mays Business School at Texas A&M University, and is an Adjunct Clinical Assistant Professor of Medical Education for the Texas A&M College of Medicine.

In 2017 he combined his extensive healthcare and military experience with his deep sense of patriotism and founded Wander Staffing to provide mission critical staffing solutions to the U.S. government. He maintains his active credentials as a CRNA and Professional in Human Resources (PHR).

Mr. Wander believes in leadership by example. Under his direction and with his positive personality, he imparts the company’s core values to all associates, to enthusiastically drive forward and execute the mission on a daily basis.

Mr. Wander is married to his beautiful wife Sarah, and they have 5 children. He is an associate board member of the non-profit Texas Hunters for Heroes, enjoys lifting weights, playing rugby, hunting, the gun range, and pencil sketching.
